Ian Andersen brings over 18 years of experience in sales, marketing, advertising agency and brand leadership to PMI. As Associate Partner, he serves as PMI’s Marketing Director and provides consulting services to PMI clients, including best practices assessment, solutions design and development and project management.
Prior to joining PMI, Ian served in a number of sales and marketing capacities including Account Director, Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Account Management for several leading advertising firms. In these positions, he developed an appreciation for strong client relationships as well as the potential for sales and marketing to work synergistically together.
He demonstrates expertise and a fresh perspective in the areas of sales best practices, strategic account management, value selling and sales management and coaching. Additionally, Ian provides creative expertise and strategic insights both internally within PMI as well as to PMI’s clients.
He is a regular speaker at the Appalachian State University Annual Entrepreneurial Summit and he collaborates with faculty from UNC-Greensboro, Appalachian State University and High Point University to suggest curriculum content and provide thought leadership in the areas of sales and marketing.
Ian’s client experience includes Lowe’s Home Improvement, Hanesbrands, Volvo North America, Mack Trucks, Syngenta, Novartis Animal Health, Duke University Cancer Center, Wake Forest University MBA Program, Mt. Olive Pickles, John Deere, Assurant, Hilton and Honeywell.
He holds a BS degree in Applied Communication from Appalachian State University and resides with his family in Greensboro, NC.
